Design Brief
The brief for this outdoor area pavilion area was to create an area that captured the quality of the location as an indoor and outdoor living space for both leisure and entertainment purposes. Consideration was given to the neighbours retaining their views and subsequently the outdoor pavilion was designed to be low and unobtrusive.
Design Solution
The location is exposed to strong southerly winds and extreme wet weather conditions. The pavilion provides protection from these weather conditions but also allows participation and comfort outdoors when these conditions occur. We designed the outdoor pavilion area and renovated the pool by creating a simple skillion roof structure with a combination of glazing types.
Design Outcome
The quality of materials and finish was specifically requested by the client to enhance the outdoor area and render it a stylish and comfortable living space. Our design modernised both the indoor and outdoor entertainment area so that the family could relax for BBQ’s and entertain friends.

The clients wanted to revamp their waterfront outdoor area to protect them from the elements. JMH worked towards creating a beautiful and comfortable area for the family to enjoy.
